I C U. U C Me?

I created this mixed-media art on the topic of words which sound similar in different languages. Like, reflection and réflexion.

This collage-style art here is on the topic of love at a price. Notice the dollar signs inside the black heart.

I got to design this mixed-media image on the topic of job recruitment. In trying to keep the overall mood somewhat insecure, the interviewers are kept in the background, with no particular features showing.

Katherine has hinted me to this – it’s the first day of autumn already! How fitting that I created this Italian landscape in the warm colors of fall today ;-)

Another cover art on the topic of restructuring, this time around using multi-colored building blocks.

This artwork was created to illustrate the current calls for the end of the recession. Is it really all over yet – or are we only in a temporary state of recovery?

This image here leaves me puzzled… Simple but strong, I find.

Oh yes, Christmas is approaching faster than we would like to see it happen… Here’s a linocut image in color showing a Canadian caribou shoveling away a pile of snow. (Or is it simply foraging for food?)

Happy Oktoberfest 2009! The annual beer festival has just commenced in Munich. Here’s my poster motif from last year – too bad they’re not using the same motif over and over again ;-) More info on my award here.

Created this on the topic of conspiracies taking place within networks. I like the intertwined hands here…

Here’s a visual art on communication networks which I feel turned out really nice – starting a discussion at some point will inevitably lead to similar talks demanding the need to build from where you started.

More on the Lehman bankruptcy one year ago today: The illo above hints on the many co-workers getting fired after the company went bankrupt. The symbol of the day was the tote bag bearing the corporate logo. (It’s funny – everybody hates investment bankers while they are drowning in money that somebody else made; but once they’re put off, everybody starts feeling sorry for them. Poor race!) Anyway, I like the way they are leaning onto each other here, with tears rolling down their cheeks.
The spot art below is a funny comment on the sensation that many felt at the time – that, in the words of The New York Times, their own bank was “robbing” them of their jobs.

Just got this little cat illustration here approved by a scholary publisher – think it’s turned out pretty cute ;-)

Balloons for a feature on M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) for a magazine from Asia (cover art). I mapped the outlines of Asia and the United States onto the balloons to hint on the international goings-on in that field.
