Lehman Laments

lehman-laments_07_a

More on the Lehman bankruptcy one year ago today: The illo above hints on the many co-workers getting fired after the company went bankrupt. The symbol of the day was the tote bag bearing the corporate logo. (It’s funny – everybody hates investment bankers while they are drowning in money that somebody else made; but once they’re put off, everybody starts feeling sorry for them. Poor race!) Anyway, I like the way they are leaning onto each other here, with tears rolling down their cheeks.

The spot art below is a funny comment on the sensation that many felt at the time – that, in the words of The New York Times, their own bank was “robbing” them of their jobs.
