Vic-Vic-Victoria!

victorian-female-writer_04

Here’s a recent mixed-media artwork showing a very young female writer from Victorian ages. I really like the overall mood for this one.

This picture is actually the “Face” of the author. It means this picture does not show any particular person but it shows the general mood and appearance of many authors of that time.
It takes us to 19th(later half of the century). The woman’s face is kind, innocent and somehow childish.
It reminds us the face of Gaskell,George Eliot,Rossetti and of course The Brontës.
People change, the whole world changes and many men and women come and go and the artist revivals the memories of the people who we respect and like.
