THE CONTEST
|
A |
 |
calendar of mine has been selected to
appear in the Society of Illustrator's Illustrators 53 exhibit
(sequential series) and annual book.
The work was exhibited at the Museum
of American Illustration in New York from January 5 through January 22, 2011. |
 |
The Sequential
category sonsists of multi-image projects for which a sequence of images is
necessary to fully convey and idea or story. This includes comic books, art
journalism, graphic novels, pre-production art and animation. This year, 35
images were selected from 251 submissions in this category.
My
calendar is labelled "The Well-Tempered Year" and contains 13 full-sized
whimsical illustrations with titles that are mocking famous novels ("The BOLD
MEN and the Sea", "Brave BLUE World", "Howard's FRIEND" etc.).
