am a whimsical
illustrator
and
designer
working in mixed media for publishers and packaging producers
from Europe, North America, and Asia. Some of my
clients include
Süddeutsche Zeitung,
Welt am Sonntag, AOK, Psychologie Heute, Rowohlt,
Gruner+Jahr, New Scientist, Scientific American, DIE ZEIT, Random House, Ritzenhoff, The Writer,
Ravensburger, CBS, The Christian Science Monitor, DER SPIEGEL,
Hong Kong Tatler, Tesa, CBS, Prospect Magazine, Ravensburger,
and Deutsche Bank.
In 2012, my work won me four
awards of excellence in the
European Newspaper Award
contest for pieces I did for Germany’s largest newspaper,
Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Other recognitions include
American Illustration,
Society of
Illustrators, and
Novum: World of Graphic Design
magazine. In 2011, I was a judge for the
3x3 Magazine
illustration annual; and in 2008, I won the grand prize in the Munich
Oktoberfest design competition.
I have been among a
designer's pool of only 100 to get invited to create stamp designs for Germany. Further, I created
the jacket design for Random House's Who
am I - and if so, how many?, a nonfiction bestseller authored by Richard David Precht (over 1.3 mill.
sales).
