WEB PROJECT: Carl Link
/ Deutscher
Kommunal-Verlag
Legal Publisher [1998]
Client: Carl Link / Deutscher Kommunal-Verlag is one of Germany's most renowned legal publishers. With offices in Kronach, Munich, Bonn, and Potsdam, Carl Link publishes books, legal journals, and legal forms. Equipped with a staff of 100 people, Carl Link is a subsidy of Wolters Kluwer Group.
Details: Specializing in legal literature, Carl Link saw this web site as a means to promote their services ranging from legal books, journals, and CD-ROM collections to office supplies, and governmental election forms.
The site was developed bottom-up with no design guidelines given. I was responsible for the site structure, the overall design and the implementation. In aiming to add spice to the site, I decided for a modern, friendly, and colorful design, and included hand-drawn sketches as navigation icons.
Based on this web site for Carl Link Publishers, I have also developed a promotional video for the Frankfurt Book Fair, and the screen design for a series of full-text CD-ROMs.
I have also worked for major law firms such as Haarmann Hemmelrath or Hasche Eschenlohr, as well as for legal publishers like Pacific Business Press, Asia Law, Nomos and C.H. Beck. I have also created the legal e-zine, LEGAmedia.
