Client:
LEGAmedia was an independent online magazine for lawyers and entrepreneurs, offering in-depth features on topics from law, business and politics, media and education.

Details:
The online magazine targeted businesses seeking legal advice, as well as lawyers and attorneys. Within five years, LEGAmedia had grown into one of the largest suppliers of legal resources worldwide and into a household name. The site featured more than 20,000 articles, and yielded more than half a million page impressions per month. Authors for the predominantly English-language articles included a great many major international law firms such as Akin Gump, Weil Gotshal, Haarmann Hemmelrath, and Rödl & Partner, as well as special guests like former New York city mayor, Ed Koch. After years of experience in building and maintaining legal online magazines (such as my projects for C.H. Beck publishers and AOL), and after having developed award-winning legal websites for a number of years, it seemed only logical I should set out to start my very own online legal magazine. I founded LEGAmedia in 1999 and was both the CEO and the editor-in-chief for the site. I was also responsible for concept, articles, design, illustrations, implementation and marketing. I also developed other design assets like the corporate logo, and brochures.
